Running CUCM and UC 10.5. My message store is internal to UC. I'm trying to set up message notifications to email.
I've configured my SMTP SmartHost, and for a test user, enabled a Notification Device (SMTP). But I never receive a message.
Am I missing a step? Is there a way to test STMP or troubleshoot this?

If you believe you configured Unity Connection correctly based on the documentation the best source for troubleshooting would be on your SMTP i.e. Exchange or whatever server you are using to ensure the message gets there and allows anonymous addressing.

Thanks, +5, that led me to a nice hint.
Our external gateway is rejecting the mail because the sending domain does not exist (unityconnection@cuc.mydomain.com). How do I make the "from" address unityconnection@mydomain.com?
If I change the SMTP domain, then UC thinks it should just deliver locally not use the SmartHost.
