Unity Server v7.x resizing partition

Dears,

I have Unity Server v7.1 intalled in MCS server.

in this server i have one partitions  C (24G) and unpartitioned free space 112G.

But the Partition C has only 1 M free space.

How i can make resize for the C partiton?

Please advise ASAP.

Do you see the unpartitioned space in Windows disk management, or elsewhere?

What version of Windows?

Really the extra space should have been set up as a second partition (d:) in to which the Unity software should have been installed - that's how the docs tell it.

Doing that isn't trivial though at this point if it wasn't done already.

If you see the space in disk management, you can right click on the existing c: partition and click 'extend partition' to stretch it out into the unpartitioned space.

the windows version is Windows server 2003 Standrd Edition SP2.

When i right click on the existing c:partition but i cant find "extend Partition"

Hi

On W2003 you have to convert the disk to dynamic - right click Disk 0 and click Convert. That will require a reboot as it's the system drive.

Also need to right click that 'free space' parttion and deleted it.

Once rebooted you should get the extend option when right clicking on c:

If your server is properly backed up, you can try free partition resize utilities.

Hint (Hiren's)

Make sure you're not voiding any applicable warranty.

Another alternative would be to use VMWare converter (again, mind warranty issues)
