We are planning to upgrade from the call manager 4.1 to 10.5.., the current hardware is MCS-7835-H1-IPC1.
Upgrading directly to Unified Communications Manager Release 10.5(1) from Releases 4.1(3), 4.2(3), 4.3(2), 5.1(2), 5.1(3), 6.0(1), 6.1(1), 6.1(2), 6.1(3), 7.0(1), 7.0(2), and 7.1(2) is not supported
Which is the best way to upgrade?
CUCM 10.5 Supports only virtualization migrating to the new hardware is the best way to do.....is it possible to upgrade or need to configure new systems.

HI Siva,
This will involve your Jump Upgrade procedure and all the hardware will be on UCS with VMWare Virtualization.
Below Document will help you to make upgration successfull..

Hi Siva,
One way of doing is follow the DMA tool to upgrade to 7.1.x and then, use PCD to for doing migration to CUCM 10.x

Hi ,
Not sure how big your cluster is but I have done this recently from 4.x to 9.x.By far the easiest way to do this is if you have a smallish system is to Export what you can from 4.x.Then Build a brand new 10.5 and then manipulate the 4.x export to fit an import to 10.5.
It takes a while and you need to be good at Excel but at the end you get a nice clean system
