Im trying to upgrade cucm v 9.1 to 11.5.1 with " solarwinds sftp/scp
However cucm is still saying "the remote server could not be located "
Please find attached screenshots of cucm and solarwinds sftp /scp
anyone experience with this?
Am i doing something wrong?
Firewall is turned off
I am able to ping from cucm to the mentioned ip adress and vice versa
I do not prefer to use other ftp/sftp clients the configuration of this client is very simpel.
I have used freeftpd, filezilla, titan, no success

Hi there Monasir,
Have you tried connecting to the SFTP server with a normal pc running an SFPT client to check connectivity is good? That'll help you pin point the problem to the CM or the SFTP server.
If that works, try connecting to the SFTP server from a PC in the same subnet as the CUCM server to check on routing, etc.

The thing is i have cucm installed on a vmware esxi server .
Its in the cloud.
I cannot give my network adapter fysically an ip addres.
If i do that then im not able to reach the cucm anymore.

Could you not spin up another machine in VMWare next to the CUCM?

Hi leighharisson,
Dont think i understand you well?
Do you mean build a new vmware machine ( windows server ) in the same subnet next to the cucm?

Yes. What I was tyring to establish was a clan SFTP path between CUCM and the SFTP server.
If you run the SFTP server and connect to it with a normal PC running, say, filezilla on the same vlan, then that would prove (or disprove) the SFTP operations, including the firewall, username, password, directory, etc.
With that proven, you can move on to look at putting the client in the same vlan as the CUCM server to prove out the routing path, including firewalling, etc.
Hope that makes some sense,
Best, Leigh
