Upgrade firmware ip phone cisco 8811 and 8831 to thirdparty.

Good Morning

Our company has acquired 400 Cisco IP Phones 8811 and 8841 (100 model 8841 and 300 model 8811). The PIDs are CP-8811-K9 V08 and CP-8841-K9 V08, and are planned to work on a Mittel MX-ONE telephone switchboard.

Whe have a lot of problems in the setup of the phones, and also the progamming the SoftKeys, and program keys.

After Reading the Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series with Multiplatform Phone Firmware Data Sheet we have doubts about CP-8811-K9 V08 being the right device for our project, and we would like to know if CP-8811-3PCC -K9 phones would be a better option to deploy our system on an Mittel MX One.

Would it be posible to upgrade/downgrade the firmware to make the CP-88X1-K9 work as CP-88X1-3PCC -K9 phones? Our devices are currently running the following versions:
APP Load ID rootfs 288xx.11-7-1-17

Boot Load ID sb2288xx.BE-01-009

Version SIP 88XX.11-7-1-17

HW Revision v31.

 Best regards

Hello.

For the device to work with MPP firmware you would need CP-8811-3PCC -K9 and similar for 8841. I would suggest you get the replaced. There is no way we can convert the phones CP-8811-K9 V08 to MPP.

Thanks.

Thank you for your help. I will try to change the phones.

Best regards.

You can also look for the supported PIDs for MPP on the model specific pages:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/collaboration-endpoints/ip-phone-8811-multiplatform-firmware/model.html

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/collaboration-endpoints/ip-phone-8841-multiplatform-firmware/model.html

Click on "View All PIDs" to see the supported MPP PIDs

Thanks.

Hi

Sorry to come late to the party but facing a similar issue. I found the below;

L-CP-E2M-88XX-CNV=

https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/collaboration-endpoints/unified-ip-phone-7800-series/firmware-migration-master-guide.pdf

Would this now be the way forward when faced with this issue of converting from Ent to MPP?

Regards

Correct, all the info is at upgrade.cisco.com

At the time this thread was created and answered, the info was correct as there was no such option.
