I am upgrading from CCM 4.23 to UCM 8.62a Business Edition 6000. Since I am doing a bridge upgrade, I am going to run the Data Migration Tool to import the data from CCM 4.23. The question is what version of UCM 7.15b do I import the CCM 4.23 data into, UCM 7.15b or UCM/BE 7.15b ?? Then upgrade to UCM 8.62a Business Edition and restore to a virtualized server. Right?
Thanks in advance,
Tony C.

You need to upgrade to standalone CUCM version, before we had the 3K/5K/6K releases they were co-res, and there's no upgrade from co-res to standalone.
6K is a "regular" install, just downsized, so yes, upgrade to 8.6 and then restore on your CUCM 6K machine

I am curioous about the 6k. We are working on a new VoIP system and Cisco BE6k is one in there with Mitel and Shoretel. Any advice or commentary from anyone?
We are a small Manufacturing company with 115 phones. pretty standard. I am concerned about the HW refresh cycles that Cisco has. 5-6 years to totally refresh??
