used 8851 - how to buy a migration license

hi,

i received some used cisco 8851 phones from a now defunct company. i'd like to convert the phones from enterprise firmware to mpp firmware (for use with asterisk / freepbx).

i have learned that i need to purchase a license for each device to be able to do so.

following the link from the web upgrader

i arrived at the license administration page, i do not have any licenses. how can i enter the phones in the license manager to get the conversion license.

the original company is closed and anything license related is not available to me. is there a way to proceed or are the phones useless?

The license SKU is L-CP-E2M-88XX-CNV.

Use a browser to search and pick from a list of authorized resellers.

thanks for the response, so the solution is: i have to buy from an authorized reseller and cannot buy from cisco directly.

Unless there are some commercial agreements between you and Cisco, buyers of the CNV license usually go to authorized resellers.

Resellers are more expensive, it's better to buy directly from Cisco
