User Locale on Cisco IP Phone 7941

Hi,

Have a Cisco IP Phone 7941 that languaje Spanish does not takeover on it, even though there are others IP 7941 that have it and woks fine. Would it be a  firwware problem, or what other thing could be the reason ?

I've seen something like this when the locale fails to install.  The fix sometimes for the certain phone that is having a problem would be to change the user locale back to the default, or something else, reset the phone.  After it switches over change your locale back to the one you want and reset the phone.  The download should work this time.  You can check the phone console logs from the phone's web page before doing this if you want to check and see if there is a problem loading/installing the locale file.

Let me tell you that we have made several things like delete/add the phone, change the user locale back to default,

change the line, etc, and the same problem continues. One more thing, when user has added new different models

of IP Phones, included Cisco IP 7941, just this model is the one that only appears with english user locale.

For technical information, CUCM is version 6.1.4 and is running user locale: cm-locale-es-CO-6.0.0.1-1.cop, and checking

Cisco Downloads out there is other version which is: cm-locale-es-CO-6.1.3.3000-1.cop.

Would you think that change to this latest version will solve this problem ?

Yes updating the locale file to the latest should cause the phone to re-download it's locale file and hopefully fix your problem.  If you check the problem phone's status messages from the webpage you likely will see a locale install/update failed.
