Hello all,
We are quoting out equipment for an office where we will need to tie a pots line into the set up to provide analog dial tone for local 911. I think the only vg gateways that can support fxo service are the vg310 and 320. Can someone here on the forum confirm this?
We have a call manager cluster running 8.5.1.
Please let me know if you do.
Thank you.
Vicky

Yes, if you add an FXO card to it, but those are CUCM 9.1(2)SU2+ devices
You can find all that in the VG310 info available on cisco.com

If they have an existing ISR on site, add an FXO card to it for this purpose.

Hi Java,
Long time no bug you on the forum. :-) Is there any vg gateway that would be able to provide the fxo analog support for our current Call Manager version?
Any suggestion here would be great.
Thank you.

HI Victoria,
The short answer is no.
Keep in mind that a simple difference between the two is what provides the necessary voltage to flash the line and additionally that you can't connect an FXO to an FXO or an FXS to an FXS.
Like Jamie said an easy solution if you have an ISR, like a 2921 or a 39xx router, is just adding an FXO card , plug your POTS lines into that and create your route group for 911 dialing to go out over those lines.
