VG202 prefix 9

I'm trying to configure a VG202 to prefix all outgoing calls with a 9, If I configure the Gateway in CUCM 11.5 and prefix with a 9 I do not get a dial tone so unable to dial the number required.

Basically we have an analogue alarm box that is preconfigured with a number to dial, this works fine when connected to a standard PSTN line because there is no 9 for an outside line, however when I try to configure it on our VG202 I cannot get the prefix 9 to work.

Is there any way I can create a dial-peer on the VG to prefix all outgoing calls with a 9.

I’ve tried the following on the VG:

dial-peer voice 9990991 pots
 service mgcpapp
 destination-pattern 9T
 port 0/1
 prefix 9

You have the GW/Port configured and UCM controlled through MGCP. You cannot have changes done on the GW take effect. You would need to do them on the CUCM. Try the "Prefix DN" option on CUCM for this GW/FXS port. So you either makes changes on CUCM either on TP/RP etc to add the prefix or change the GW from MGCP to H.323 or SIP.

Prefix DN does not give me a dial tone

I meant the Prefix DN configuration on CUCM and not on GW.
