Hi,
I'm looking to implement Sip SRST on our voice GW, we use a different internal range of extensions from the DID range.
On CUCM we use translation patterns to match the inbound number to the internal extension range.
Just wondering as the GW is MGCP when the phones are in SRST I need to configure a voice translation rule and profile.
Normally using H323 I'd apply to the rule inbound to the voice port but I know that as the GW is MGCP it will overwrite the config removing the rule when the GW comes out of SRST.
I know I can disable MGCP on the GW but this is not ideal as it goes against policy for sites.
Is there another place I can apply the voice translation profile to translate the inbound number to our extension range.
Regards,
Liam

Liam,
You can accomplish this by applying your translation-profile for the ingress pots peer. That shouldn't get overriden
!
voice translation-rule 11
rule 1 /555\(.*\)/ /666\1/
!
voice translation-profile srst-translate-ingress
translate called 11
!
dial-peer voice 9100 pots
destination-pattern 555....
translation-profile incoming srst-translate-ingress
direct-inward-dial
port 0/1:23
!
HTH.

Bill

Thanks Bill,
Tested it out with a tweak to the rule to match my pattern works great.
Thanks again
