hi! does anyone know what shd be configured on the cisco switch port if i would to use a polycom(c x600) ip phone with 2 ethernet port for microsoft communicator? One port will be connected to the switch and another port to the pc. How;s the voice vlan and qos shd be done for this case? how about polycom with single ethernet port? whats the different in config? does anyone has a working sample config to share with?

wiht cisco IP phone the phone negotiate the voice vlan with the switch uinsg CDP
CDP is Cisco protocol and becuase of this i dont think you can use the voice vlan
however what you could try setup the interface as trunk interface and allow only voice vlan and PC/data vlan
in the phone if you can enter/configure the vlan ID manully then put it as the voice vlan and the PC/data vlan make it as a native vlan in the switch ( untaged ) use the requried QoS marking for QoS polices
