Webex - phone with or without 3PCC?

Hello,

we are offering Webex (license Webex Calling Basic Calling) to a new customer.

Do I need to offer phones with or without 3PCC?

Which one is correct with Webex:  CP-8861-K9= or CP-8861-3PCC-K9=?

What is the difference between those two?

So far, I did not find this in a sales guide; which one to use for Webex calling?
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/partners/tools/collaboration-ordering-guides.html
shows guides for Webex gateway and ContactCenter, which are not applicable here.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collaboration-endpoints/ip-phones/multiplatform-firmware.html says:
"Cisco Multiplatform Phones are powered by Cisco Webex Calling or an approved third-party UCaaS provider."
This does not definitively answer my question: does a phone on Webex Calling require a multiplatform phone? Or does it also work with phones like CP-8861-K9= ?

I know CP-8861-K9=  from on-premise CUCM deployments. Webex and 3PCC is new to me. I would appreciate some explanation;-)

Thanks, Jos

For any cloud service including Webex calling you need the Multiplatform Phones which are CP-8861-3PCC-K9=

Check the back of the phone. Look for any indication as to what "HW" version it is (usually a sticker). If the phone is has a HW version of "V15" then it won't work with Webex Calling (aka Spark Calling) due to CSCvs58194.
If the HW version is version 7 (and below) it should work.
