Hi mates,
Just a thought besides complexity in achieving the same. We have following appliances;
1. PUB
2. SUB1
3. SUB2
4. CUPS
5. CUC
6. CUCCE
7. SIP/H.323 Gateways (leaves MGCP aside)
Upto physical installation of each of the above appliance on different or same (virtualized) hardware, it's OK. But what about configuration of all of the appliances.
We need to login to PUB for call manager related task.
Login to CUPS for IM/Presence administration.
Similarly for CUC, CUCCE and gateways.
What if we have centralized configuration tomcat server as one more appliance say 8 which includes GUI pages of all of the above appliance viz PUB/SUB1/SUB2/CUPS/CUC/CUCCE/H.323-SIP gateways.
Now administrator won't access any of the appliance directly, indeed will access only centralized configuration tool. Will configure all of the appliances centrally and all appliances will get it's configuration from configuration manager.
I know this might not be technically easy to achieve but just thought will it make network administrator life easy with 'Centralized Management' by accessing only one tool for configuration of all appliances in a cluster (including servers and gateway).
Will appreciate if you have any thoughts on the subject.
Thanks
Vivek

Have you looked into Cisco Prime Collaboration: Provisioning.
Additionally their are multiple 3 party tools that do provisioning across all elements of your cluster.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for highlighting this information (+5). I was not aware about this. Will check the same.
Thanks

Hi Andrew,
I tried to look at Prime Collaboration: Provisioning tool but seems the OVA template I got is applicable only for 10+ version.
I'm running with 9(1). Can you please suggest which (single) OVA template will run all three viz Assurance, Analytics and Provisioning.
I'm referring below link;

Thanks
Vivek
