Hi,
When configuring dhcp relay on IPv4 network, only the dhcp server address should be configured.
Why the upper interface field must be configured on IPv6 network (red)?
ipv6 dhcp relay destination 2001:DB8:10::1 FastEthernet1/0
Thanks,
Dafna

Hi Dafna,
Example: Router(config-if) ipv6 dhcp relay destination FE80::250:A2FF:FEBF:A056 ethernet 4/3 |
Specifies a destination address to which client packets are forwarded and enables DHCPv6 relay service on the interface. |

At a guess, the interface is required in case the v6 address was link-local (fe80::), as the link-local addresses are present on all interfaces and don't have unique routes.
