Need some help here, I cannot see what I am missing, I am working through the example on Route Foundation Learning Guide book, p800, four routers, R1 running RIPng, R4 running OSPFv3, R2 and R3 redistributing between RIPng and OSPFv3. Routing tables look fine but I cannot ping the loopback on R1 from R4. All routers can ping their directly connected routers fine. Issue seems to stay with R1.

you can see that (*Mar 2 07:55:31.386: IPv6: Encapsulation failed), there seems to be a problem mapping layer 3 to layer 2. I must be doing some wrong, I cannot see what though.

Hi,
the next-hops are link-local ipv6 addresses so you need frame-relay static mappings for these.

Thanks, your a superstar!! I had seen that in an ine video once before but forgot about it when I actually had to lab it out.
Thanks for taking the time to look through that.
