Hi guys, just a short question.
We are implementing some projects that only have one L3 Switch.
Cisco told us to use IP Services for the ipv6 routing... but we only have 1 router...
In case we are using just a device for the layer3 and the rest are L2 switches, it should be enough with IP Base, isn't it?
thanks!

What software version are you running ,ipv6 was added to the ipbase ios while back on newer images of v15 but you will be heavily limited in terms of using it within an igp , you will probably just be able to do basic ipv6 on base version , full support is in ipservices
best thing to confirm if its up there is use the cisco feature navigator and see exactly what you get for your image with ipv6 and base license

Thanks Mark.
We will have v15 or superior for sure.
The reason they gave us to use the IP-services was the dynamic ipv6 routing because we have IoT devices... but if they are only communication locally with this one l3 switch.... no need for dynamic routing.
We will test in on the lab with IP BAse just to make sure we don't need some special cisco command that only works on IP-services.

Id say your ok then once your turn on the ipv6 routing if not already enabled by default in global running config , im pretty sure that will allow you to add ipv6 address to an interface as well which should be enough to create communication between ports at ipv6 , good luck
