Has anyone deployed or migrated from VPLS transport to EVPN, to support a BNG GEO-RED scenario?
I am unable to find documentation specific to EVPN implementation in this context or Cisco validated designs for that matter.
Any input or feedback highly appreciated!

Hi Sam,
I haven't configured EVPN for BNG yet, but I can say that it will work just fine. It's working better with multihomed networks than VPLS.
I don't know your setup/topology, maybe you could use PW HE if your hardware has support for it (should have if you have at least Tomahawk LCs, not sure about Typhoon ).
Take a look at evpn.io and xrdocs.io where you can find some technical documents.

Let me know if you need more information. Maybe I can help you out.

Thanks smailmilak !
We are actually already running BNG GEO RED on VPLS, but looking at best practice for EVPN, active-active Vs single-active for example.
It is fine to go ahead, test and fix with trial and error, but prefer to have some sort of validated design and recommendation. It just does not seem that there is anything at present...apart from a question raised during Cisco live BRKSPG-3002 session, but was never fully answered.

Well, there is almost none talk about BNG anymore. Not sure why.
All I know is that Cloud native BNG is out
