AS-Ignore VS AS-Override

I have a lab setup for MPLS. I am trying to find pros/cons for either as-ignore or as-override.

If I add as-override on PE it works great as I see can prefixes with remote CE AS# being striped & replaced by SP AS#.

However, if I use as-ignore prefixes get dropped and I see nothing.

Can I get some clarification here pls.

Thx much

Hi Mohamed,

The as-override is supposed to be used on PE devices while as-ignore is to be used on the CE side (the side that receives the routes with the same ASN as the local ASN). Did you apply the as-ignore on a CE?

Best regards,
Peter
