Can an RSP-720-3C be upgraded to RSP-720-3CXL?

hello,

i have several RSP-720-3Cs that have an mls cef maximum-routes limit of 256k. i want to grow to 1M, so i need to have RSP-720-3CXL. i read that the difference between the 3C and the 3CXL is the PFC. can i buy just the PFC? is this upgrade possible? is it just memory like with the linecards?

please advice.

Carlos,

The difference between the 3c and 3cxl is not just the extra RAM but also more TCAM. It is therefore not field upgradeable.
