Delay in VPN

hi experts

we recently had a MPLS based L2 VPN, while handing over the connection the provider did testing with hard loop on the circuit and it was as per the SLA.

But when we connect PCs at the two ends and do ping command we see higher delay in the path, why is that.

When pinging from pc to pc you have to factor in the added time it takes....the switch, firewalls etc it take to get the pc on both sides.
