Can I connect MPLS interfaces between 2 ME3600X switches over a layer 2 VLAN network?
A simplified topology would be ME3600X MPLS interface into static access port in VLAN 100 on a 2960; over a dot1q trunk to another 2960 which then removes the VLAN 100 tag and connects to the other MPLS port on the second ME3600X. So MPLS encapsulated by VLANs. MTU increased accordingly.
Also, can SVI VLAN interfaces be configured as MPLS interfaces in an ME3600X?
We are looking to create our own MPLS network over carrier provided layer 2 links which they segregate using VLANs to us.
Thanks
