Hub and spoke vpn topology, OSPF downward bit propagation

I want to know if it is possible to disable OSPF downward bit propagation. The PE router will set the downward bit when flooding LSA's from other sites to the hub router and as they pass through the spoke router and back to the PE-router the PE routes will not accept the LSA's with the downward bit set. Alternatively will it be possible to ovveride default behaviour and accept LSA's with downward bit set ?

You can use the "capability vrf-lite" knob to disable the down bit check on the PE router. Care must be taken not to introduce a routing loop while using this knob. For more information about that knob, refer to the following URL:
