InterAS MPLS VPN multiple links

Hello,

I need some advice regarding this situation:

We are working on a SP (lets say SP A) network that is going to have a interAS MPLS VPN connection with another SP (SP B) for service a customer that have 5 locations with one SP (SP A) and 4 locations with the other (SP B). The interAS MPLS VPN scheme is back-to-back VRF

The connection between the two SPs is 4xE1, so we have multiple links between the ASBRs. The SP B says that everytime that they used multiple links they used VRF lite, BUT (here is my question): would it be a recommended scheme for this situation?, also I was thinking about MLPPP for load balancing or maybe using the ASBR routing protocol for load balancing?

For all your experience what would you recommend for this particular situation? If VRF Lite is not the best recommendation, how can I explain that to SP B guys?

Thanks!!!

Alex

Hi,

I don't see any need of VRF lite.If they are using EBGP at the ASBR then they should use BGP load balancing.
