Why is it that the IOS-XR re-writes the incoming associated label to implicit null for VPNv4 eBGP peers?
I came across this anomaly while preparing for the CCIE SP and was hoping Cisco might be able to provide a thorough explanation.
I also understand that the "ebgp multihop mpls" command resolves the issue but wanted to know what the purpose of the re-write was.
What is the use-case where I might prefer the LSP to be broken by the XR popping the incoming label?
