ME6524 xconnect on Uplink Interfaces

Has anyone used uplink interfaces on ME6524 to deliver xconnect (port based)? The configuration is supported but am not sure how the performance would be, have no test environment and hence cannot test. Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Sultan,

why would you be worried about performance on ME6524 uplinks?

Unlike the downlinks which are oversubscribed in group of 3, uplinks are not oversubscribed, so they can get the full bandwidth.

regards,

Ricardo

Ricardo,

Thanks... it's more like uncertainty than worry. I too reckon that there should be no problems if xconnects are configured on these uplink ports,  wanted to check if anyone here has similar configuration in production and any known issues...

Cheers

Hi Sultan,

if this can make you feel more confortable there are no TAC cases reporting generic issues arising from having xconnects on uplinks rather than on downlinks.

Riccardo

Hi Riccardo,

Thanks for your continued support!! That does help.

Thank You
