I am bit lost about label distribution in MPLS network.
LDP protocol is require for label distribution, this what we learned in MPLS course in day one.
Later we go further advance with MPLS TE, where it stated LDP is not require as RSVP is perofrming the distribution.
So when we turn off LDP when TE and RSVP is configured in network. How can we check the label information like what we used to do it when LDP is running ?
MPLS VPN - LDP required.
MPLS TE - RSVP enable, can turn off LDP.
MPLS TE/FRR - RSVP enable.

Hi,
When using RSVP and TE you can use the "show mpls traffic-eng tunnels" command to view the outgoing label,
look for " OutLabel : Ethernet0/0, implicit-null"
This will tell you what the RSVP learned label is, you can use this command on all routers iin the path of the tunnel, ie head end-mid rtr-tail end.
Cheers

Choh Koon Tan,
For MPLS VPN, you can use either LDP or RSVP TE to create the Label Switched Path (LSP) between the ingress and egress PE.
In some cases you might run LDP or RSVP standalone and in some other cases you can run a mix of both like RSVP to create a TE LSP between core routers and LDP to create the ingress to egress LSP.
Hope this helps,
