mpls_ldp[1240]: %ROUTING-LDP-4-PEER_DUP_ADDRS : VRF 'default' (0x6000

Getting this error message in the log:

mpls_ldp[1240]: %ROUTING-LDP-4-PEER_DUP_ADDRS : VRF 'default' (0x60000000), 1 Duplicate address(es) advertised by more than one peer

I'm not seeing more than 1 LDP peer advertising this IP however.

Am I correct that only seeing 1 LDP peer means that there are not multiple peers that have this address bound to it, and that it's possibly a cosmetic bug?  I've configured a logging suppress rule in the meantime.

Thanks for the information @psymonds7769 ,

You can clearly see in this output the this address is bound two different LDP neighbors.

Hi Harold

What is there to be done as soon as we discover the peers with the duplicate ip address ?  I am having the same issue presently

Thanks, regards

Paul

Hi @paul mebale ,

This is a misconfiguration. You need to make sure that the same IP address is not configured on two different neighbors.
