MPLS LDP Peering over Etherchannel

I am hearing rumours that it is difficult if not impossible to LDP peer between switches (6500 series) when using etherchannels.  I am having difficulty in finding any documentation around this and wondered if anyone has advise and comments.  We are expecting to use L2 and L3 etherchannels to create a MPLS network using LDP.

Can anyone advise if this is an issue any links and any workaround or advise?

What Supervisor and IOS are you using?  I've used MPLS over L3 Etherchannels on the 6524ME running 12.2(33)SXH7

We have been using LDP/Etherchannels for ages without problems

(Layer 2 etherchannel, LDP configured on interface Vlan)

7609/SUP720, 7609/RSP720

IOS started at SXD, gone through SRA,SRB,SRC, currently at SRE3
