Hi all
I have MPLS network with OSPF as the underlying IGP , my current two route reflectors are ASR9010
The current design is in-band route reflection , what am trying to implement is to pull out these two routers and use them as MPLS PE and change the route reflection model to out-of-band
So , I want to use lower series (as am going with out-of-band)
what are the most appropriate model/series to use/deploy?
Thanks
BR,
Mohammad

Almost impossible to answer without knowing the scale of your network. ASR1k's are pretty popular.

Hi all
What we are having is around 11 PEs and 2 Ps in our MPLS network , the current Ps are ASR9010 routers
We are thinking of using the current Ps as PEs or core routers and replace the current design with out of band router reflectors
Will the ASR903 or ASR920 be of benefit ?

Between ASR903 and ASR920, its better to have ASR903. Because of the following reasons.
1. Memory
2.Throughput
3. Latency
Its always better to have ASR903 over ASR920.
