Switching Frame-relay to Ethernet on 7606

I have enclosed a drawing depicting one side of our network. I have an OC3 that terminates on the 7600 router with multiple PVCs, some PVCs (DLCIs) need to terminate on X-G1 router. The easy solution is to place another Flexwan module with OC3 on the 7606, place an OC3 PA on the 7200 router (X-G1) and connect them back-to-back then frame-switch the PVCs. However, this option is expensive, the Flexwan modules can set us back about 20 thousand a piece. The other option as depicted, allows us to use existing ports with no additional hardware. The idea is to MPLS-Switch the traffic from a PVC (DLCI) to the GigE interface using the various flavors of MPLS. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

BTW- I tried to use VRF-Lite, but the 7600 only supoprts that feature on the Flexwan ports and not fast or gig ethernet.

Hi,

i don't know which IOS Version do you have installed, but do you know the l2vpn Feature?

You can use most off it without mpls.
