Dear Gurus,
Im creating a new service for our company to provide vpn connections to our cable subscribers. From cable modem accross MPLS network no problem since i can do vlan rewrite, on the UBR TLS one mac per vlan. My problem would be if i have clients connected to the same UBR, can i do local switching on the same MPLS router?

Hi,
I'd suggest running MPLS PWs to split the customers over seperate VCs. This would be done by configuring either static or dynamic pseudowires and then provisiong the customers to these, and connecting them via L2VPN.
I have found some useful guides on how to do you would do this.
More specifically on what I was suggesting:

Hi Joe,
Thanks for these info, my problem would arise if the cable modem clients lies on the same UBR and they want to exchange info. Is there a local switching on the UBR or even in the MPLS router? xconnect to the same mpls router would not work, is there any work around?
Thanks.
