Hello SD-Access Experts,

In our Lab we have several HW (ISR and C9300), VM (CSR 1000V), VMware Distributed Switches. We are planning to start building SD-Access. So questions please:

1. Can we integrate VMware distributed switches as part of the Internal Fabric?

2. Does the Internal Fabric is only for Cisco products?

3. If #2 is Yes, how do we install CSR 1000V, VM WAAS and VM WSA without VMware?

Thank You,

Audie

Most of the Time ESXI sit in DC environement so its more of DC networking using ACI.

It can be part of the SD-Access network, just like any other node ? what you expecting ?

check some guidence of ACI : (same should work for Sd-access)

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/aci/apic/sw/4-x/virtualization/Cisco-ACI-Virtualization-Guide-42x/Cisco-ACI-Virtualization-Guide-421_chapter_011.html

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Balaji,

I am referring the Fabric components. How to build the Internal Fabric with VM's?:

1. Must the Underlay consist of all Hardware devices only?

2. Can the VM's (CSRv, WAAS, WSA) be used as part of the Underlay? If it so, How to install them without VMware?

Thanks
