hi,

I have a service instance with an encapsulation of vlan 100, I hav also defined a VFI called hhh and later defined

 service instance 2 ethernet
  description IDP
  encapsulation dot1q 100

interface vlan 100

xconnect hhh

no ip address

will this bind vfi hhh to an the service instance?

Hi Akash,

yes this will bind it, but that to be effective;

we need to attach this service instance (ether channel)to  Physical interfaces.

it would be really helpful if you tell me the tables and ID's to look into when tracing the end to end traffic by capturing packets.

Hi Akash,

we can see it by " sh xconn all" the Virtual circuit ID "S to be matched,

for end to end traffic ,its detailed conectivity will be known by sh xconn ID detail
