VRF question

Hi not that experienced on MPLS so opinions appreciated. The setup is all remote sites terminating via dsl (may not be Cisco) to a 7200 router with an ATM connection. This ATM service is being provided at both ends by an ISP and is essentially a private service. Customer is looking to seperate traffic from remote sites on the 7200, then possibly terminate them on a switch in VLANs or something and I'm wondering is VRFs the way to do this? Would you create a VRF for each customer? or is Provider (P) router needed before you can utilise VRFs.A brief outline of how it would work would be very helpful or an alternative if VRFs arent the answer. Thanks in advance

VRFs can provide isolation and I don't think you will require a P router or any other MPLS VPN related stuff. You can have a separate VRF for each site and this will include the interface that is connected to a site as well as the interface that is connected to the switch. You can consider other options like packet filters and route filters on the 7200 to provide isolation instead of VRFs.
