802.1x on vmware post 1000v

I have a Windows 10  VM on VMware that I want to configure for 802.1x. Since the Nexus 1000v is end of life does cisco have another switch I can use to configure my virtual machine for do1x?

 It seems there is not replacement for that one. Does you VM run in bridge mode or NAT mode?

My VM runs in bridge mode in esxi 7

You can do the dot1x on the physical switch.

I tried to configure dot1x on Nexus 9k. The Nexus is not able to communicate with the VM. I am able to use port security on the VM but it's not able to see the dot1x protocols. Do you have direction on how to configure the VM to work on a physical switch?
