Hi,
Just wanted to point out that ACS Unix is EOL or going to be EOL soon. There is no tool provided by cisco for this type of migration. What you can do is use csutil utility to export the users information from the ACS on windows and then import it into ACS Unix. For that you need to know the format of the DUMP.TXT file (generated by csutil) and then need to know the format of txt file the ACS Unix can recognize. Its a difficult process, sorry.

thanks Mynul:
EOL for unix version of ACS? sigh .... we have two windows based running and the performnace is lousy (with 1GB RAM dual-CPU, 1.1 GHz). both machines become either in frozen state or very slow when the numbers of customers on line close to 4000 (we are using SQLanywhere). we have to turn off AAA accounting features on all of other routers except those customer access routers.
thanks again.

Is this true that the Windows base ACS performance is LOUSY?
If it is the fact, then what about the ACS appliance ?

Could you send me an email describing the performance issues you are having? Please include the version of ACS, version of OS with SP's, version of external db.
Have you checked the failed attempts logs?
Thanks.

Mynul,
We are investigating moving our windows based ACS to solaris. Is this a very difficult process. Is the solaris version going EOL and when.
Thanks

There is no migration tool or mechanism to move from the ACS for Windows database to the ACS for UNIX database.
Please note that the UNIX version hasn't had any updates (except for bug patches) for well over 3 years now and its future is uncertain.
