Cisco ISE 2.6 Installation Error on VMware

Hello Support,

 

I downloaded the iso file of Cisco ISE 2.6 and trying to install it in Oracle VirtualBox.

I am encountering with a problem while installation process.

The following errors are showing up :

***** checking for supported platform.

***** UNSUPPORTED HARDWARE DETECTED!

***** Cisco UDI (Unique Device Identifier) not found on this appliance.

***** Exiting Installation

[ 570.723276] System Halted.

 

Kindly refer to the attached image for your reference so that you can assess it and show me the solution for this problem

     ISE is not supported to run on Virtual Box, hence the error message you get by "UNSUPPORTED HARDWARE DETECTED". If you want to practice, use GNS3 see here or EVE-NG see here.

     ISE is not supported to run on Virtual Box, hence the error message you get by "UNSUPPORTED HARDWARE DETECTED". If you want to practice, use GNS3 see here or EVE-NG see here.

As an alternative to virtual box, ISE will run in the free vmware workstation Player, the major different between player and workstation pro for labbing though is that you don't have the vmware workstation pro advanced network manager. Depending on the networking requirements on your PC, this can rule it out as an option.

Player will also only run a single VM, if you need a AD server, you would have to do that in virtualbox at the same time.
