I have Gig through network in my environment and I attempt to install a fresh ISE 3.1 on a SNS-3615 but the installation is taking a LONG time. I am getting about 10Mbits/sec on a 1Gig network. The CIMC and my windows server 2016 server is on the same network. There is no mis-match with the speed/duplex on both the CIMC and the windows server interface. I can upload files to Cisco website from the same windows server at 250Mbits/sec so the windows server is not an issue. Is that expected speed on the CIMC of the SNS-3615 or installation just slow in general?

Using HTTPS or Java KVM? In my experience, the Java KVM is faster. But yes, in general, installation over the CIMC is slow and typically takes a couple of hours.

It is slow with both java and HTML5 KVM. Unfortunately, it is a remote data center and nobody on-site.

Yes, had the same issue installing ISE 2.7 on SNS-3655-K9 and SNS-3615-K9 recently. It took 3.5 hours per node to do the install from CIMC (HTTP KVM as JAVA not available after CIMC upgrade). For the next upgrade I'll look at using a bootable usb device connected directly to the appliance rather than a mapped ISO through CIMC.

Took 4.5 hours just to download and install 3.1 ISE on the SNS-3615, such a waste of time. Cisco needs to hire better engineers to do a better job on the CIMC.
