Hello all. Is it possible to send the interface description in SNMP on the 3750G switch. When I issue a debug snmp packet command on the device I only see the actual interface name such as "ifDesc..11606 =GigabitEthernet1/0/6". I would like to see the description value that I have set such as "PC1".

It looks like ifalias is what I need, but is there a command to send this in the snmp trap? I found a global command "snmp ifmib ifalias long" that changes the alias to support 256 characters but I don't see anything to send this with the trap.

The information is there, you just need that your snmp server get it.
The parameter is ifAlias.
In Zabbix I use: {#SNMPVALUE} : {{HOSTNAME}:ifAlias[{#SNMPVALUE}].last(0)}
