Hi to All,

i have added in Prime some  UPS devices , Prime recognises them via the ReadOnly community i have configured to these UPS.

I have also configured them to send SNMP taps to Cisco Prime.

Is there a way i can view these traps from these devices into Prime?

Thanks,

Ditter.

Hello,

what brand/model are the UPSs ? Do you have the relevant MIB(s) loaded in Prime ? I know that e.g. APC UPSs have their own MIB (PowerNet MIB).

The directory and log file where traps are received in Prime used to be '/opt/CSCOlumos/logs/ncs_nb.log', not sure if that has changed, but whatever traps the UPS sends, should be in that file...

Georg,

i tried to add a basic MIB at Cisco Prime , i got the message Please refer to  /opt/CSCOlumos/logs/ncs_nb.log',

and by looking at the '/opt/CSCOlumos/logs/ncs_nb.log" i get no info in there.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Also checked the miblibrary.log , nothing there also.

What i did find is that when tried to upload the mib i got messages in the mibLibrary.log (with capital L).

And the message there was :

Added {} to MIB search path.

I did some progress there but the MIB does not get compiled.

Thanks Georg, i am aware of this doc, the messages come in /opt/CSCOlumos/logs   and it is called mibLibrary.log.

In addition MIBs in compressed format won't work, i compiled each mib seperately.

Thanks for the reply.

I would like to get traps from Liebert GXT4-1000RT230.

Is there a way to get these traps in the Web interface?

What i need is to get these  traps from these devices and then forward them to email.

Ia this feasible?

Thanks,

Ditter
