Can't set time thresholds in Prime monitoring

Hi all,

I am trying to configure a monitoring policy in PI that will allow me to define the length of time a device is down until it sends an email alert. Ultimately this is to filter out noise/false flags from a genuine outage of a device or a network uplink.

I can't seem to find a way to do this under "Monitoring Tools".

I do see Device Availability under automonitoring, but I can't set any thresholds as it just says Threshold N/A. Same when I try to Add a custom monitoring policy, it doesn't allow me configure anything.

Really strange that it seems like it supports such a feature but at the same time doesn't let you configure it.

Would appreciate any guidance.
