Cisco NAM Server Response Time and IP SLA HTTP Response Time

Hello,

Cisco NAM provides a good indication of deciding on a performance issue pointing to the Network time of an application, and Server Time of an Application. How does NAM measure this time,  we think it is related with timestamping the TCP Packets for a tcp session, what is the time duration we observe from the NAM as Server time?  Is it the total time of a transaction, or time to first byte, or the time until first syn-ack, which may be indicated as tcp session establishment time?

IP SLA Http Response gives an indication of dns time, time to first byte and data time during a transaction of an http session. But it has no clue of the

Is there a method of integrating or correlating these 2 methods, so that if a threshold is passed for ip SLA and a trap is received, whether this is because of a network delay, or server delay.

Thanks in Advance,

Best Regards,
