Cisco PI2.0 -- Settings for Client-Acquisition

Hi all,

migrating from LMS 4.2x to PI 2.0 I'm familiar with the UserTracking-Acquisition-Process and

its possible settings like Acquisition-Schedule, PingSweep, Excluded Subnetz, DHCP-Handling and so on.

Now within PI 2.0 it seems that these settings are no longer available to change (Administration>System Settings>Client).

With what parameters does PI 2.0 poll client data and where can these settings be modified?

Maybe anybody passed that problem out there.

Hi Lothar,

we donot have such kind of settings in PI ..

you can check the box [ Poll clients when client traps/syslogs received ] under Administration > Client > Client  Discovery it should poll based on receiving the traps. That feature is  not enabled by default

**wired clients polling cycle  (2 hours default).

thanks for your feedback.

Are there any plans to implement the wired clients aquisition settings as known from LMS?

In our (LMS)-environment UT-Discovery takes about 1-2hours, so decreasing network-load due

to managment-traffic should be customizable.

Should be worth a thought.
