Hello
so I'm struggling to make the most of our newly purchased Cisco Prime, and I'm having some very basic issues with the software, for example:
- some interfaces are not monitored by default, as a last resort I deactivated the auto monitoring and added a new one that monitors all interfaces, hope it works
- interface Utilization is percentage and not by traffic speed ( meaning I have to know the interface type and the utilization percentage to calculate the speed). support said that such feature is not available, which is very odd !
- Prime cannot collect netflow traffic from ASA
- I'm also having some issues with specific devices and SNMPv3 ( still with support on this issue)
- Prime cannot monitor virtual interfaces (VLAN interface on the ASA for example) which could be done by other free network monitoring tools
thats what I recall now.
so I assume that it's just that I don't know how to use or make the most out of Prime, therefore, can anyone suggest any material ( aside from the official documentations) that describes how to make the most of it?
Thanks in advance

Have you seen the Prime Infrastructure "Job Aid" videos that Cisco has produced?
They can be found here:
http://www.cisco.com/c/m/en_us/training-events/product-training/prime-training-infrastructure.html
Metha Chiewanichakorn at Labminutes also just did a new 16-part series of videos on PI:

I haven't reviewed them yet but his material is consistently high quality.
