Ciscoworks LMS 3.2 Bulk Configuration Export

Hello,

Does anyone know an easy method to bulk export configurations out of Ciscoworks LMS 3.2?  The only thing I've found is the cli command cwcli.exe export config -u  -p  -device % but it exports it in XML format which isn't very readable.  Would prefer a text file format.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Brian,

via CLI that is the only option but what you can do to get the files  in TEXT format is , you can login to the server and

go to this location :: NMSROOT\CSCOpx\files\rme\dcma\shadow

and

NMSROOT\CSCOpx\files\rme\dcma\devfiles

Thanks!  I was able to locate the shadow directory and that appears to contain the most recent configuration for a device.  Do you know the syntax / organization of the historical configurations?  Looking in the devfiles all the folders are numbered and do not appear to be associated with a device name.  Is there a different location I should be looking for historical configs?

Hi ,

That is an expected behavior with devfiles location.

the other way is 

go to Configuration > Configuration Archive > Views > Version Tree

select the device and you will see the history of the config arhive and from there it self , you can copy and save the config in text file  Or you can use the export option as well .

Going through the GUI though you can only export one config at a time correct?
