CiscoWorks Message - Error in communicating with DCA Server.

Anybody run across the error in CiscoWorks that states "Error in communicating with DCA Server"? After looking further into the problem I notice that the RMEdbENGINE failed to start and I cannot start it manually.

I also get an error message stating "ERROR: cmd failed. Server reason: Application DRCserver is not registered. All requests to operate on this application will be ignored." please help!!!!!!

Shutdown the Daemon Manager service, then delete NMSROOT/databases/cmf/cmf.log if it exists.  Then run the following command:

NMSROOT/objects/db/win32/dbsrv9 -f NMSROOT/databases/cmf/cmf.db

Then restart the Daemon Manager service, and the daemons should come up.

I got this message...

The CiscoWorks RME NG database engine service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automaitcally if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service.

You may need to repeat the steps for the rmeng database.  Delete the NMSROOT/databases/rmeng/rmeng.log if it exists, then run:

C:\progra~1\cscopx\objects\db\win32\dbsrv9 -f C:\progra~1\cscopx\databases\rmeng\rmeng.db
