Gretings community!
My client has two different nexus
Nexus 5548 / 7.0(8)N1(1)
Nexus 7710 / 6.2(16)
I was configuring EEM and faced a problem.
Before I open a case, I would like to make sure
there is a solution to it.
configurations were
event manager applet Link_Down_01
event syslog pattern Interface Ethernet1/2 down
action 1 syslog msg LINK_DOWN
it was working fine until I faced the following msg.
It says "Max Limit for syslog EEM events reached !!"
Does it mean that I can configure only few EEMs?
As for n5k, I was able to configure 10 EEM patterns
and as for n7k, I was able to configure 30 EEM patterns
I remember that I read a refrence which stated that nexus supports 500 EEM, but it seems that I can't.
Does that mean I can create 500 EEM but only few patterns?
-------------------------------------------------
Another problem is that EEM isn't working properly.
I'm not sure whether I missed something.
configurations were
event manager applet Link_Down_01
event syslog pattern Interface Ethernet1/2 down
action 1 syslog msg LINK_DOWN
According to the configuration above,
when the Eth1/2 is down,
I'm suposed to receive a syslog "LINK_DOWN"
but I was only getting "Configured from vty by admin on vsh.#####"
If I change "action 1 syslog msg LINK_DOWN" to "action 1 syslog priority informational msg LINK_DOWN"
and when Eth1/2 is down,
I do get receive "LINK_DOWN" but also the "Configured from vty by admin on vsh.####"
Is this normal or an OS bug?

Thanks!
It was an OS bug. I was had bit more of research just to make sure
and it is was a bug.
n5k and n7k has EEM limitation of 20~30.
I am not sure about the exact number but it was around 20~30.
