Is there available reasonable documentation, which describes how variables are mapped in database. With current documentation level, it is quite challenging write CLI template scripts based on device characteristics (like interface description etc...).

Unfortunately, the content on DataBase extraction and API is very minimum.

You can access the API information from your own appliance using this link:

https://your-ip-address/webacs/api/v1/

Or download Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.0 API Reference Guide here :

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/2.0/APIRef/PI-2.0.zip

Hmm ... pitty, because my aim was write templates, which could set some IOS configuration settings based on access vlan/port role. And that via CLI templates using GUI, but it looks like I need to (at current documentation level) write my own application and use REST API instead.

Any plans to enhance documentation level to that point where LMS 4.2 has???

Mikko,

We undertstand the market demand and our PI teams are working hard burning like the midnight lamp. But it is still into its evolution process and would take a little more time to be in perfect state.

Due to this reason LMS hasn't been made obsolete completely yet. Customer's can still use it if it fills the purpose.
