Credentials for Service Provider

Dear Community,

I would have a short question to you. I'm currently configuring our new ASA-5508-X and wanted to connect the device to the internet. That means we do not want to use an additional router in between, but only the ASA device. In this regards I wonder where to insert the credentials for accessing (Access-nr, password,...)

Hi, what type of connection is used? PPPoE?

Thanks for your message. Yes, should be PPPoE. 

But there is still one question:

In general I think to know what I have to insert in the specific fields:

1. ASA: PPPoP username should be the same like Access-Nr on "FritzBox"

2. ASA: PPPoP password should be the same like Password on "FritzBox"

But what do I have to use for GroupName? I have two other entries on FritzBox: "Connection Identifier" and "User-Number".

Hi, the vpdn group name is decided by you.

Can be an arbitrary name.
